Team Asha Testimonials

Grace Lawrence

Asha has been not only an amazing coach to help me through prep and lifestyle but as a mentor and guide for me too. She has helped me learn to put myself first and that I am worthy of loving and honouring myself. She has been there for me in all the hard moments of life and giving me advice that I have needed. I feel so seen and heard by her. She has helped changed my life

I joined Asha 6 weeks ago, in a short amount of time she has completely transformed my life both internally and externally. Asha’s knowledge of what is required to do a prep is beyond comprehension. She is supportive, kind and always in your corner. I came into this with very little knowledge of how to train or eat for comp and in 6 short weeks she has already given me so many tools! I am so grateful for Asha and her team, WBFF and the fitness industry in general is all the better for having her as a 3x world champion, ambassador and face of WBFF.

I started with Asha in February 2017 when I was part way through studying Personal Training and I wanted to explore what was involved in a competition prep. I have now been with Asha for 5years and could not fault her in any way. Her attention to detail is incredible and her knowledge is so extensive. Throughout my time with her we have completed 5 competitions and placed highly, reversed from comps healthily and safely, and even progressed during my pregnancy and postpartum. With Asha health always comes first and that is so important to me and the longevity of life, with this she managed to find underlying health issues I had and has worked to improve them. I will forever be grateful for her belief in me, especially as I often struggle to believe in myself.

I’ve only been working with Asha for 12 months & within that time I’ve learnt more about myself than ever. How my body reacts to foods, how to love who I am, what I’ve become, who I am becoming & all the ones in between. What a Queen of a soul. Forever grateful & even more excited about what’s to come!

Asha, thank you for all you’ve done, from the 3am check ins, to standing by my side when I was getting ready to jump on stage, creating the Team Asha shoots, for pulling me in line when I ate the banana when I shouldn’t have, for cuddling me when I wanted to cry. You’ve been my rock and friend & I’ll be forever grateful!

Asha has been a fantastic all-round coach. She not only has prepared me with the knowledge I need to participate in a first-time prep for a competition, but she also has prepared me mentally which has been a massive help. She genuinely cares for her whole team’s well-being and is there for you no matter what. She’s a fantastic coach, mentor and role model.

My journey with Asha so far has been incredible. When I first came to Asha my goal was to get on that stage. I fell pregnant 13 weeks out from my first show and the support from Asha was truly amazing. She kept me accountable throughout my pregnancy knowing I had goals to achieve. She has made my postpartum journey a beautiful experience and we are now pushing for that stage. Asha challenges you to be your best self in ever aspect. Not only is Asha an incredible coach, but she is a caring coach. She puts so much into her girls and I fell blessed to be a part of such a powerful team.

In 2021 my endometriosis flared up and I stopped coaching for a period of roughly 6 months prior to having surgery in October 2021. In that time frame I gained a large amount of weight from a mix of binge/comfort eating and no physical exercise. I became very embarrassed of my weight and would decline social events due to this. After a successful surgery I joined back with Asha in January ready to get myself back on track. I started the year off ready to smash out some goals and after years of dreaming to compete I came to Asha with the idea. Having built a relationship over the years, Asha was so supportive in my choice, and we decided to prep for my first show. Starting officially in May 2022 at my highest weight EVER of 90kg’s, we prepped to compete in October 2022 at the Gold Coast Pro/Am show. Living with endometriosis this 6-month period was challenging physically but also mentally. From the start Asha was my rock in this journey. I knew I had a large amount of weight to lose to get stage ready however with her help and guidance I felt very confident we would get there, if I put in the work and executed the plan Asha had for me. There were times I felt overwhelmed and wanted to quit however Asha always helped me work through my health hurdles and mental roadblocks. Without Asha, I wouldn’t have been able to get the results I did. She always helped me remember my “why” I wanted to finally get on stage.  On show day I weighed in at 70kg’s, making it a 20kg drop over the 6 months of prep.  Getting to show day it was very emotional getting off stage and finally saying “I DID IT!” and Asha and I shared some happy tears that week about the entire journey. Asha pushed me when I needed pushing and supported me when I needed support. I know this is just the beginning of my competing journey and with Asha as my coach I know we have more great journeys ahead.
